Northeast CU Participates in Random Acts of Kindness Week
Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Week ran from February 14th to February 20th 2021 this year. RAK Week is a seven-day celebration where people around the world unite for one common goal– to spread kindness! At Northeast Credit Union, RAK Week is our favorite time of year; each branch and department takes it very seriously. Here are a few initiatives our Northeast Credit Union team participated in!
Our back office was hard at work, spreading kindness throughout New Hampshire and Maine. The Marketing team dropped off groceries to the Barrington Food Pantry, brought duffle bags filled with essentials to The Department for Children, Youth & Families (DCYF) for foster children, fidget sensory toys to Greenland Elementary School and ordered supplies from local teachers’ Amazon Wish Lists. Our Member Contact Center was also busy spreading kindness to our members, and, perhaps you were one of the lucky ones who received a $5 account credit after a pleasant call with our Contact Center!
All of our Northeast Credit Union branches focused on their specific communities, bringing kindness to a variety of organizations. The Rochester Branch stopped by Middleton Elementary School, Farmington High School and Spaulding High School to drop off baskets of goodies for our hard working teachers. Berlin and Gorham also put together baskets full of snacks, hand warmers and sanitizing wipes for the Army Recruiters working 12 hours shifts away from their families. The Conway branch made peoples’ days by handing out handmade cards and $5 Dunkin gift cards.
Spreading kindness is contagious, and that is one super spreader we can celebrate. Even though RAK week is technically over, don’t let that stop you from being inspired and spreading your own form of kindness every day!
