Northeast CU Branches Participate in Holiday Drives
As part of our Love Your Community Project, each of our branches chose a nonprofit organization to support during the 2021 holiday season. From canned food drives to collecting toys, together with the support of our members, we committed to the season of giving.
From November through December each branch enthusiastically collected donations. Thanks to our staff and members, each charitable organization received all of the items on their wish list: toys, personal hygiene items, nonperishable foods, warm winter wear, cleaning supplies and more went to those in need just in time for the holiday season.
The stories of selflessness and generosity flooded in and truly reminded us all of the reason for the season.
“Our members were so generous. We had a member who made a sizeable donation of personal care items. She said she likes to make sure she is donating to a worthy cause. We felt very honored that she chose us,” shared Jessica Champagne, Dover Branch Manager. “We had another regular member who brought in a case of fleece blankets. They will surely be a comfort to some little ones,” she continued.
