Over the past 87 years, Northeast Credit Union has been committed to serving our members and helping to build the communities in which we serve. From our humble beginnings in the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, we have grown to serve over 150,000 members in New Hampshire and Maine. We are proud of our heritage, and proud of the impact that we have made together. You, our member, are the reason for our success, and we are honored that you have put your faith and trust into this institution.
As you know, we are constantly striving to better serve our members and our communities. We’ve never been the type to follow suit or take the easy road – we believe in challenging the status quo of what a financial institution should be. Together, we can generate incredible impact, and build a credit union that delivers on our mission to enrich and nourish the lives of others.
So, today, we’re excited to announce the next phase of our journey to build a world-class, member-focused organization. As we evolve, it is important that our brand evolves with us, so that it clearly represents our mission and core values. This summer, Northeast Credit Union will become Lighthouse Credit Union.
This new brand is meant to inspire our members, team members, and community partners to reimagine what banking can be. While we aim to serve as a guiding light and a beacon for good in our communities, it is our members that are the true heroes of our story. We believe our members will change the world, and we’re here to light the way.
Our new Lighthouse Credit Union brand signals an acceleration in both innovation and positive change for our members and community partners. Our message of “Good for you, good for all” will celebrate our dedication to providing world-class service to our members while improving access to affordable housing, eliminating food insecurity, and supporting education.
Through this change, we are committed to providing our members with expert financial guidance and robust products and services. In the months ahead, we will be unveiling new products that not only offer more rewards for you, but also allow you to make a direct impact through your everyday banking. By simply being a member, you will help create a brighter future for yourself and your community. Our members are at the heart of everything we do, and we are excited to soon share the new innovative ways of banking that will benefit you and the world around you.
Although our name is changing:
- Your account numbers will not be impacted.
- Your credit and debit cards will continue to work as they always have.
- Loan, recurring and automatic payments processes will remain the same.
- How you access your accounts online will not change.
- Our ATMs will be available for use and branches will be open.
- We will continue to generate positive impact on the communities we serve.
With this rebranding, our new name will also come with a new look. You’ll soon experience the new brand within our branches, website, digital banking, documents, social media, and advertising. You might have already noticed some of the changes at your local branch as we prepare for this transition.
This announcement of our new brand is just one step in our journey of continuous improvement. We will be communicating changes and updates through multiple channels including our website, email, postal mail, digital banking, social media channels and our branches. You’ll soon see changes in the market as we work towards launching Lighthouse Credit Union this summer.
