Meghan Collects Donations by Riding Her Bike

Meghan, from Berwick, Maine, is known by her teachers as a kind and empathetic student. In 2021, Meghan rode her bike for 60 miles in the course of 2 days to raise money and collect food donations to benefit the Mary Hurd Academy Backpack Program, which provides meals to students with food insecurities to ensure they have proper nutrition outside of school. Her first journey proved to be a major success and she plans to repeat the ride again this year.

Meghan’s dedication to helping her fellow students is why she was chosen as one of our 2022 Nice Catch winners.
