Portsmouth, NH – August 21, 2024 – The Lighthouse Credit Union Foundation is excited to announce its second annual Nourish Network 5K Series, set for fall 2024. In alignment with the Foundation’s mission to enrich and nourish the lives of others, a portion of the proceeds from each race will benefit various nonprofits across the Seacoast of New Hampshire and Southern Maine.

The series kicks off on September 21 with the first 5K supporting Lydia’s House of Hope, a Somersworth, NH-based nonprofit that provides transitional housing and essential support for homeless women and children.

On September 22, the second event in the series will benefit the annual 5K and Family walk for the Connor’s Climb Foundation. This Exeter, NH nonprofit is dedicated to suicide prevention education and training in schools and communities throughout New Hampshire.

Moving into October, the Nourish Network will partner with Grahamtastic Connection for a race on October 20 in Springvale, ME. Grahamtastic’s mission is to provide free technology, such as iPads, laptops, robots, and internet access, to children with cancer and other serious illnesses, helping them stay connected to their education, family, friends, and medical providers during treatment.

The final event in the Nourish Network 5K Series is scheduled for November 3 at Rock Row in Westbrook, ME. Centered around a 26-acre quarry, this 5K run/walk will support Good Shepherd Food Bank, a nonprofit dedicated to eliminate hunger in Maine by improving access to nutritious and culturally relevant food for those in need.

“Partnering with these nonprofits to launch the 2024 Nourish Network Road Race Series will strengthen our communities and reinforces the Foundation’s commitment in supporting local organizations that enrich and nourish the lives of others,” stated Dan Raposa, Executive Director of the Lighthouse Credit Union Foundation. “Whether by running, volunteering, fundraising, or donating, there are countless ways for everyone to get involved and contribute to making a positive impact.”
