Lighthouse Credit Union has partnered with the Maine Affordable Housing Coalition (MAHC) to support affordable housing initiatives across the state. Starting today, individuals who join Lighthouse Credit Union have the option to receive a complimentary one-year membership with MAHC, furthering the organizations’ shared mission to provide safe, affordable housing for all Mainers. Existing members of MAHC are also eligible to become members of Lighthouse Credit Union.
Through this partnership, Lighthouse helps to support MAHC’s important advocacy work. This initiative will help build awareness and expand resources to help get more people in homes, a priority focus for both organizations.
MAHC is a statewide organization that works to create and preserve affordable housing in Maine. With a network of over 130 organizations, including developers, architects, engineers, and housing service providers, MAHC advocates for policies at both the state and federal levels to ensure safe housing for all. This new partnership with Lighthouse Credit Union enables individuals to support this cause while receiving benefits from both organizations.
“This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to solving the housing crisis in Maine, explains Laura Mitchell, Executive Director of MAHC. “By working with Lighthouse Credit Union, we’ll be able to have greater impact by providing more resources and support for affordable housing initiatives.”
Lighthouse Credit Union is dedicated to improving access to affordable housing with the goal of putting 50,000 individuals in homes by 2030.
