- To qualify for the $50 Refer-A-Friend Reward, the Referrer must be an existing Lighthouse Credit Union member in good standing with a minimum balance of $5 in a Lighthouse Savings account and have a valid email address on file. The Referrer must submit the Referee’s email address through the official referral site, or by visiting or contacting any Lighthouse Credit Union branch or Contact Center. The Referee must satisfy all the following Qualifying Actions for the referral to be considered valid: (1) Be referred by a Referrer and use the same email address associated with their new account as the one provided by the Referrer at the time of referral; (2) Not be a current member of Lighthouse Credit Union and not have held membership within the prior six (6) months; (3) Be eligible for and establish membership by opening a Lighthouse Savings account with a minimum deposit of $5; (4) Open a checking account with Lighthouse Credit Union; (5) Complete a minimum of five (5) debit card purchases (excluding ATM transactions and fees) within sixty (60) calendar days of checking account opening; and (6) Maintain the checking account in an open status for a minimum of sixty (60) calendar days. Both the Referrer and Referee must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and must not have caused a loss to Lighthouse Credit Union, whether resolved or outstanding. Upon verification that all Qualifying Actions have been completed within the required timeframes, a $50 Reward (“Reward”) will be delivered via email to both the Referrer and Referee within four (4) weeks. Referrers may earn up to $550 in Rewards per calendar year, based on a maximum of eleven (11) valid referrals. All tax obligations arising from or related to any Reward shall be the responsibility of the Reward recipient. Any required tax documentation will be provided by Lighthouse Credit Union as applicable. This promotional offer is subject to change or termination at any time without notice.
