Kimberly Is Committed To Helping Her Students Succeed

For many teachers, the summer months are their relaxation time before returning to the hectic schedule of the school year. That’s not the case for Kimberly Kenney. Kimberly teaches third grade at Boscawen Elementary School in Boscawen, NH. During the summer, Kimberly volunteers at local town parks and summer camps where she offers extra help to students struggling with reading. In addition to attending camp, she also hosts a reading program throughout the summer in her classroom for students transitioning into fourth grade to hone their skills before starting the new school year. Outside the classroom, Kimberly volunteers at the Boscawen Old Home Days as well as numerous PTA events such as playground construction projects. She even took it upon herself to become a summer pen-pal to help a student struggling with handwriting due to a medical condition. The extra time that Kimberly puts into her classroom and students never nets her an extra paycheck; she simply does so to help her students be the best they can be.

Because of her dedication to helping her students, Kimberly was chosen as a winner of Northeast Credit Union’s Teacher That Wow contest. We appreciate her efforts to help her students excel!
